IF Ghana is one of the foundations that supports the girl child with sanitary pads mostly in rural areas, where the girl child is being deprived of getting access to pads when it’s that time of the month.
I was privileged to be part of the team as they embark on one of their trips to Ada, Where we donated sanitary pads and educated both female and male pupils about puberty and how to keep personal hygiene.
Our team also had the chance to practically demonstrate how to fix and use sanitary pads during menstrual flow and proper ways of disposing of them.
It was a joy-filled moment for these children since most of them have never had the chance to use sanitary pads and for once, they have and can use it. Mostly they don’t have the financial means to get these pads and have been doing it the old way(use of cloth). Support the girl child NOW!!
